Baby’s 9 Month Well-Child Visit

What to expect

Baby will get a usual checkup at this appointment—they’ll be weighed and measured to check growth, and the provider will perform a full physical exam.

Unless your baby needs to catch up on any missed vaccines or needs a flu shot, there are no vaccinations needed at this appointment. Your baby is likely eating lots of new foods by now, scooting or crawling, and maybe even pulling himself up to a standing position. Time to get serious about babyproofing if you haven’t already.

Things you might discuss during this visit include whether baby is crawling, playing games with you, and eating a variety of foods.
