Baby’s 4 Month Well-Child Visit & Vaccines
What to expect
By the time your baby is 4 months old, you might be feeling like you and baby have really found your groove. If not, don’t worry. Here’s your next chance to share any concerns and make sure baby is on track. Baby is a pro at shots by now—good thing—because there is another round.
Your baby will get the next dose of the shots received at the 2-month visit: DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis), Hib, PCV, and polio vaccines, along with another dose of the rotavirus vaccine, a liquid given by mouth.
Your baby will also be weighed and measured to check growth, and the doctor will perform a full physical exam. Things that might come up during this appointment include whether baby is rolling over, doing mini pushups, and laughing. And of course, any questions that you have.
